8 Stages to Building Your Dream Home

Mitch Bower Constructions is a leader in providing value-added construction services to our customers by creating a successful partnership with them throughout the construction process. Our mission is to establish lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance by every member of the construction team.

Mitch Bower Constructions will be there every step of the way to guide their customer through the building process to ensure a smooth run for both the client and builder, which in turn provides a more time and cost-effective home.

Mitch Bower Constructions will provide you with experience and expertise to help you make well-informed decisions to ensure your dream home will provide you and your family with the best long-term value in your new home. The following is an outline of how we ensure this is achieved.

STAGE 1 - INITIAL MEET AND GREET

During this stage we get to know more about you and your lifestyle need. We also discuss your hopes, ideas and dreams to ensure we can meet as many of these possibilities within your allocated budget.

STAGE 2 - SELECTING / PURCHASING YOUR LAND

While some customers may already have purchased their ideal block of land, others may be wanting our expertise and experience in selecting the ideal location based on size, price and landscape. Mitch Bower Constructions can show you available lots they have or alternately discuss any other blocks you may be looking at and provide expert feedback to ensure you make the most well-informed decision when purchasing your land.

STAGE 3 - IDEAS AND PLANNING

Once we have established the type of home and lot you are after, we define high-level specifications for your home, which provides the basis of a preliminary budget range. Throughout this stage we are still listening and gathering your ideas and desires to ensure we can exceed your expectations. During this state we will share examples of existing plans, photos and ideas that fit your wishes and work with you to create your ultimate floor plan.

STAGE 4 - DESIGN PLANS

Mitch Bower Constructions will work with you and the architect in putting Stage 3 into play and establishing an architecture defined plan for your new home. This stage takes the customer’s general ideas to a fully custom designed set of plans. If you have already acquired a full set of constructions plans from a third party architect, we are more than happy to work with you from that point on.

STAGE 5 - SELECTIONS

We know how extremely important and overwhelming this part can be for the customer, thus, we work closely with you to set up a selection schedule that will include when certain selections are due and where you can gather more expert ideas and see each product in the flesh. While you have the option to pick any selections, we know how easy it can be to go over your budget, therefore our experienced personnel will work with you to find the look and feel that’s within your budget.

STAGE 6 - APPROVAL

Once you are happy with the architecture plans and selections, we will then be ready to finalise the contract price and issue you with a copy of all of this for your records. We will then proceed through Council and relevant standards and codes on your behalf.

STAGE 7 - CONSTRUCTION

Now that all the preliminary works are complete, the excitement of watching your dream home come to life can begin. Our construction staff will discuss with you on a regular basis of where the schedule is up to for your home and advise of any delays if they do arise, eg. wet weather.

STAGE 8 - HANDOVER

We take great pride in our homes and want you and your family to be proud of your new home as much as we are. Prior to completion, we will carry out a walk through with you to ensure the level of quality meets your expectation.
